Email Marketing Test Shows Surge in Results in Using Goodmail Systems CertifiedEmail

(PRWEB) September 6, 2006 -- As an authority on online marketing, The Internet Marketing Center prides itself on doing everything right when it comes to email. So impressive improvements in performance surprised the veteran marketing experts when they tested Goodmail Systems CertifiedEmail.

In two test mailings sent to AOL subscribers, the CertifiedEmails outperformed the control groups by an average of 22% in terms of click-throughs, and by 44% in terms of conversion rates.

This resulted in an average increase in revenues of 81% across the two tests and an ROI of 1,646% on the Goodmail CertifiedEmail fee.

Goodmail CertifiedEmail is a paid delivery service that accredits email senders, and then attaches a cryptographically-secure “token” that indicates to recipients that the messages have come from a trusted sender.

"These test results show CertifiedEmail to be, for our subscriber base, a highly valuable tool when it comes to improving the ROI of email campaigns going out to AOL subscribers," said Derek Gehl, CEO of The Internet Marketing Center and author of The Insider Secrets to Email Marketing.

"Our findings are especially encouraging because the only difference between the two test groups was that one featured the CertifiedEmail trust icon in recipients' inboxes and the other didn't.

"Delivery isn’t an issue for the Internet Marketing Center. We are whitelisted with AOL and have no problems with delivery to their subscribers, so it's clear that the improvement in response can be put down to the additional trust instilled by the CertifiedEmail trust icon."

Gehl believes that the relatively small cost to IMC was more than covered by the 1,646% ROI shown in the trial.

"The Internet Marketing Center is made up of online marketing and email marketing experts so their findings are especially valid and relevant to the professional email marketer," said John Ouren, senior vice-president of sales and business development for Goodmail Systems. "As an AOL whitelisted sender, IMC’s results prove that email recipients respond positively to messages with the CertifiedEmail trust icon, which is only available to accredited senders with the best email practices."

As the provider of best-selling courses, seminars, and other information products for small online businesses, IMC tests every marketing strategy thoroughly before passing it on to its hundreds of thousands of customers.

"In the current email environment, which has regrettably been polluted for many consumers by spamming and phishing, I believe Internet marketers must explore all avenues when trying to build trust," said Gehl. "Our initial test results show that CertifiedEmail looks to be a worthwhile option in this respect."
