Americas Watchdog Blasts The Feds For Dropping The Ball On 100,000's Of US Homeowners Exposed To Toxic Chinese Drywall

(PRWEB) May 4, 2009 -- Americas Watchdog & its Homeowners Consumer Center have been leading in a national and state by state investigation of imported toxic Chinese drywall. Imported Chinese drywall in US homes has been linked to severe health issues in homes, that contain this potentially lethal building product. These health symptoms include, upper respiratory issues, allergy type symptoms, nose bleeds, rashes, severe headaches, and other unexplained medical issues, in both children & adults. Symptoms that your home may contain the Chinese drywall include, repeated air conditioning coil failures, copper corrosion, repeated light bulb failures, silver discoloring, electrical device failures in TV's, DVD players, Microwave LID display failures, etc. According to Americas Watchdog, "toxic Chinese drywall is by a light year, the absolute worst case of US homes being contaminated by potentially lethal chemicals in US history, & the best the US Government can do is launch a ridiculous investigation, that by their own account will take months, and months, and months." The group is saying, "the federal response this far has been a joke, and it is an extremely poor reflection on the Obama Administration. This is the worst environmental disaster for US homeowners in history, & a federal response is going to take months?"

In order to better assist all US Homeowners, who may have toxic Chinese drywall in their homes, Americas Watchdog has created the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center. If a homeowner in any US state suspects they might have toxic Chinese drywall in their home, office, or building they can contact the Chinese drywall Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via their web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

According to Americas Watchdog, "in Florida alone their may be 150,000+ homes with toxic Chinese drywall, it has also been found in large quantities in Texas, Virginia, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Nevada, Arizona, the Carolina's, Maryland, Colorado, California and the Pacific Northwest." The group says, "the $64,000 question is when will the Obama Administration, the US Congress & the national news media realize that, toxic Chinese drywall is about to go from national disaster, to national tragedy?" If a homeowner wants more information about the toxic Chinese drywall wall disaster, they should contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via their web site at Http://ChinesedrywallComplaintCenter.Com

* Here is what the US Consumer Products Safety Commission has said so far on this issue:
Q: When will we know the results of the investigation?
A: Although we have urgently committed significant resources to this problem, gathering evidence and conducting the necessary tests will take time. It could be months before we can confidently address the scientific relationships between the problem drywall and the health and safety concerns raised by consumers.Be assured that, as our investigation progresses, we are committed to updating consumers regularly with as much information as possible.

Q: Why doesn't the CPSC just recall the drywall?
A: CPSC cannot order someone to conduct a recall without a trial. Our case on behalf of consumers will have to be driven by scientific proof linking the drywall and the health problems or the electrical and fire safety issues, which we are aggressively pursuing.

According to Americas Watchdog, "this US Consumer Product Safety Commission response is a joke. We do not have time, for a bureaucratic response to this national disaster. This is no different than Hurricane Katrina, this deserves a federal response-right now." The Group encourages all US homeowners to visit the Consumer Products Safety Commissions web site and see what Americas Watchdog considers, "a Blah, blah, blah federal response, to the worst environmental disaster in US history."

"How many thousands of homeowners, or their children have to get very sick, or die, before the Federal Government figures this out? Are these homes all worth zero? Are these homes safe to live in? These are innocent victims, who need our nations help right now!"

"If it bleeds it leads." Americas Watchdog is encouraging every victim of toxic Chinese drywall in any state to call them, so they can get the homeowners information to the national news media. "Its high time the Federal Government, The US Congress, The President & the national press woke up to this disaster. Fort Myers, or Cape Coral Florida would be really good places to start." Homeowners who have toxic Chinese drywall in their home, their work place, or know of a homeowner who does, are encouraged to contact the Chinese drywall Complaint Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Americas Watchdog & its Chinese Drywall Complaint Center are devoted to making things right for 100,000's of innocent US citizens who are now living in potentially lethal homes, that contain toxic Chinese drywall.
