Omega Performance's Credit Skills Development Programme Receives Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland

Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) May 24, 2009 -- Omega Performance's acclaimed Credit Skills Development (CSD) programme has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (CIOBS). Successful completion of the CSD and its 18 modules covering topics from Accrual Accounting to Loan Management enables participants to acquire an Advanced Diploma in Credit, and three credits towards the flagship Chartered Banker professional designation.

Mr Simon Thompson, Chief Executive of CIOBS and Mr Michael Moore, Managing Director of Omega Performance, signed the agreement accrediting Omega's programme in London on 14th May, 2009. This was witnessed by Peter Rigby, Chief Executive of Omega Performance's parent company, Informa Plc.

'We are very pleased to have been accredited by the leading banking institute in the world,' says Michael Moore, Managing Director of Omega Performance's EMEA Region. 'Chartered Bankers demonstrate their commitment to and success in achieving the significant standards associated with this professional designation.' Peter Rigby, Chief Executive of Informa shares this enthusiasm. 'We are delighted about the new agreement between CIOBS and Omega. This has come about due to the commitment from both organisations to work together for mutual benefit.'

'The Omega CSD programme enables bank staff to develop and demonstrate high levels of technical expertise,' says Simon Thompson, Chief Executive of CIOBS. 'Coupled with the high ethical and professional standards developed through the Chartered Banker programme, this ensures those completing the programme have gained the knowledge, skills and expertise expected by employers, regulators and the public. We are proud, therefore, to be working with Omega to help rebuild confidence and trust in the banking industry.'
